Our Home Health Aides bring compassionate, friendly and professional care to your residence. They take care to address each patient’s home care needs and work closely with nurses and therapists to ensure every duty is properly filled.
Home Health Aide services help individuals with personal hygiene, activities of daily living, instrumental activities of daily living and other personal assistance duties from home, all while coordinating care with our multidisciplinary team. A Home Health Aide helps patients with direct health care needs, often under the supervision of a nurse. Certified nursing assistants may also be called a nursing assistant, a nurse’s aid, or a patient care assistant. HHA’s work directly with patients and nurses, helping with the many physical and complex tasks for patient care.
Services provided by our team (in conjunction with nursing or therapy services) include:
- Turning or moving patients
- Gathering medical supplies
- Grooming patients by brushing their hair, teeth, shaving them, etc.
- Feeding patients and documenting their food and liquid intake
- Answering patient calls
- Documenting information
- Cleaning rooms and bed linens
- Stocking supplies
- Assisting with some medical procedures
- Safety procedures
- Transporting patients
- Bathing assistance
- Dressing assistance
- Nail care (no nail trimming or cutting)
- Assistance with catheter care and dressings
- Assistance with medications
- Light housekeeping
- Meal preparation
